June confirmed something Munich food watchers have been noticing for months: the city's most buzzed-about restaurants are not its biggest. The two restaurants currently sitting at the top of our rankings — de Lune (#1) and Civico45 (#2) — have fewer than 85 reviews each. In a city of a million people and thousands of dining options, that says everything about how fast momentum can build around the right place.
Biggest Climbers of the Month
Five restaurants moved more than 100 positions in the Munich dining ranking between June 9 and June 30:
